Support Worker
Duration: Full Time & Part-time, permanent
Location: Plymouth-PY3 & Brixham TQ5
Salary: £29,000 Per Year
Social Care & Education have an exciting opportunity for a candidate that is looking to make a difference to the individuals that they support. We are looking for someone with a background in care. You will need to have a level 2 certificate in British Sign Language due to the nature of the role.
The Role
· Provide personalised care and support to clients based on their individual needs.
· Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
· Offer support during the night as needed.
· Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
· Help with meal preparation, household duties
· Support clients in participating in community activities and events.
· Assist with transportation to appointments, social activities, and other outings.
· Use sign language skills to effectively communicate with clients who are deaf or hard of hearing.
· Maintain open and respectful communication with clients and their families.
· Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standard of care.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care, activities, and any incidents.
The Requirements
· Level 2 in British Sign Language
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards clients.
