Job Title: Children’s Support Worker
Salary: £23,400 to £25,600 plus additional for sleep-ins
Location: Derbyshire
Hours of Work: Full Time (39 Hours per week)

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Support Worker to join one of our Children’s Homes & Schools. This is a permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact to provide essential care on the lives of Children and Young people.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Provide a safe and supportive environment for young people
•    Promote, safeguard and protect the welfare of each young person
•    Provide high-quality support to children and young people with emotional, mental health, and behavioural issues
•    Create and maintain positive relationships with the young people.
•    Encourage the development of a healthy lifestyle for young people.
•    Maintain a good level of spoken and written English to effectively communicate with individuals, families, and team members
•    Assess and observe behaviour of young people
•    Collaborate with professionals, families, and external agencies
•    Complete administrative tasks

Requirements
•    Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (Desired)
•    Hold a Current Valid Driving Licence
•    Experience supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties
•    Excellent IT skills- able to use outlook, word and excel
•    Thorough knowledge of children legislations and safeguarding procedures.
•    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with young people, families and professionals
•    A compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to make a difference.
•    Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings as required.
